What is Australian Sandalwood Nut Oil?

Indigenous Australians have utilised this potent oil for many centuries, recognising its unparalleled bioactive qualities. Modern science attributes its efficacy to the rare acetylenic fatty acid, ximenynic acid, comprising over 30% of the total fatty acid composition. Ximenynic acid has a triple bond at the 9th position and trans isomer double bond at the 11th position (Liu et al., 1996). This unique fatty acid is not metabolised in the same way as other unsaturated fatty acids, thus has a xenobiotic effect on the body (Liu and Longmore, 1997), contributing to the anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties of Australian Sandalwood Nut Oil.

Australian Sandalwood Nut Oil

Our star ingredient, used by indigenous Australians for thousands of years, contains a large amount of the rare xymeninic acid; a powerful regenerative, anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8

Anti-wrinkle peptide that smooths the skin and expression lines by destabilising SNARE complex*. *Decreased wrinkle volume by 20.6% and length by 15.9% after 1 week. Reduction of 17% in wrinkle depth after 15 days. 20% reduction in wrinkle volume and 15% reduction in wrinkle depth over 60 days.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid fortifies the skin's natural barriers to help lock moisture in for an even more dramatic hydrating effect. Over time, this can help slow down the the deterioration of the lipid barrier and help protect and fortify it.

Cherimoya Extract

The benefits of cherimoya extend beyond taste; its nutrients contribute to skin health. Its Vitamin C content supports collagen synthesis, promoting skin elasticity and aiding in maintaining a youthful appearance.

Hawkweed Extract

Packed full of flavonoids (amazing for their antioxidant and soothing actions) and tannins (that are anti-inflammatory, help to reduce redness and also reduce cell damage by being another powerful antioxidant). Blended with Daisy Flower it visibly reduces the colour and surface area of dark circles while improving lymphatic drainage to minimise the appearance of under-eye puffiness.
